The 2012 Seiden workshop on Control Theory in Biology
Start Time: 13 Mar 2012, 9:00 AM
End Time: 14 Mar 2012, 5:30 PM
Where: The workshop auditorium (room 1003) is located at the 10th floor of Meyer Building, Electrical Engineering Department, Technion, Haifa, Israel
Self regulation and control are at the heart of biological systems. The inherent complexity of these systems, at all levels of organization, calls for analysis and abstraction using state-of-the-art engineering techniques. In this workshop we intend to focus on application of control theory principles and techniques, ranging from analysis of stability and controllability, to system identification, adaptation and stochastic control in both elementary and distributed biological environments. Unexplored challenges in control and system theory, inspired by biological instantiations, will be emphasized.
